| Sensor on a rear fork (chainstay) |

To measure a precise speed and acceleration you will need VeloComputerTM bluetooth wireless sensor. The sensor attaches to a fork or quick release on a wheel of your bicycle and wirelessly transmits precise motion data to the VeloComputerTM application on your phone. The application instantly calculates and displays speed, acceleration, time and distance traveled.
Unlike traditional cycling computer sensors, which measure a full 360° (degree) wheel rotation, our innovative technology is capable of detecting as little as 1° (degree) of wheel rotation. This unique sensing technology is at least 360 times more accurate than traditional sensors. It measures a spot speed and acceleration with less than 1 second delay comparing up to 7 seconds in traditional cycling computers. This technology will also measure torque and even power without any additional sensors on your bicycle. |

This innovative patent-pending technology measures magnetic field from a magnet attached to a wheel. When the wheel rotates, the magnetic field M projected onto the sensor's center line C, changes angle . The angle is detected by a magnetic field sensor. It works like a compass where magnetic field M is like a compass arrow, always pointing to the magnet on a spoke. As little as one degree is enough to detect a wheel motion. Knowing the diameter of the wheel the sensor calculates linear distance, speed and acceleration (change of speed per second) and wirelessly transmits it to your mobile device.
